Monthly Focus - Preschool - May/June 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

  • Now that we are in Spring, we are going to be planting sunflowers. We will watch how they grow and what they need to grow.

  • The letter of May will be 'V, v' and for June it will be letter 'T, t', so could you please tell the children words that start with these letters.

  • For mathematics we will be talking about more advanced shapes, such as pentagon, hexagon, octagon, crescent and trapezium.

  • We are going to talk about healthy food and how it helps our body. We will be experimenting with fruit and vegetable smoothies.

  • To get ready for our Sports Day in June, we will be exploring new ways of exercising, such as dancing, yoga, aerobics and gymnastics.

  • We will be celebrating Father's Day in June, so we will be doing some arts and crafts with our children.

Healthy Eating:

Bright Futures Nursery aims to provide a varied, well-balanced, nutritious diet that reflects a variety of different cultures, dietary requirements and food allergies for all children.

  • The food is cooked fresh on the day by our experienced cook.

  • We have four weekly menus that we rotate. We serve breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and tea. Water is available throughout the day.

Polite Notice:

The Nursery works according to a set of safeguarding policies in order to provide the best service possible to children and parents/carers alike.

It is vital that parents/carers work alongside with the Nursery's members of staff and management team to achieve our full potential.

Thus, complying with the right times for each session is crucial to maintain the ratio in the rooms, as well as the best operation of the nursery.

That way, please drop your children and pick them up at the right times. Nursery sessions run as follows:

Morning Session: 8:00am - 1:00pm

Afternoon Session: 1:00pm - 6:00pm

Request to Parents - Safeguarding Premises:

A reminder for all the parents who keep forgetting to close the door/gate behind themselves. It is very important to get use to this practice as it is a matter of safeguarding of the children in the nursery.

Thank you for your continued support and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Kind regards

Blandine Tamtchap

Nursery Manager
