Severe Weather Conditions and Sports Day.

Dear Parents and Carers,

We hope you are well.

With severe weather conditions and high temperatures forecast over the next few days, we would like to reassure you that we have several measures in place to help keep the children safe, comfortable, and hydrated throughout the day.

To help manage the heat, we:

Use fans throughout the nursery.
keep windows and doors open where it is safe to do so to encourage airflow.
Use spray bottles to help cool the children.
Provide water play activities and paddling pools.
Closely monitor children's clothing to ensure they are dressed appropriately for the temperature.
Offer drinks regularly throughout the day and encourage frequent hydration.
Closely monitor children's wellbeing and comfort levels at all times.

We kindly ask that children come to nursery wearing light, weather -appropriate clothing and that they have a named sun hat with them each day. Preschool children may not need to wear their uniform during this period and parents are encouraged to provide sun cream for their children if not yet done.

We would also like to remind you about our Sports day taking place next wednesday(1st July) from 10:00am to 11:30 am. We are looking forward to a fun-filled morning with the children and families. Please refer to the attached letter for full details.
